About the opportunity

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team. This position is instrumental for ensuring that our enterprise systems continue to enable our Finance, Legal, Operations, People, Strategy and Underwriting divisions. Reporting to the Program Architect, this role is responsible for the end-to-end design of solutions and guiding implementation efforts.

This role will also work closely with our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to support new business requests. As part of working with the EPMO, you will play a key role in the triage process, providing T-shirt sizing of potential solutions and producing high-level designs to support business cases.

You will be supported by an Architecture team with deep experience in software design, Azure, API integration, UX/UI and service management.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • End-to-end solution design including system configuration, integration, security and infrastructure.
  • Guide configuration, testing and operationalisation of solutions.
  • Work within architectural guardrails to select solution components.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Team to document and score Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP).
  • Work with the EPMO to produce solution options for business requests as input into business cases.
  • Oversee and review designs and proposals produced by vendors.
  • Ensure resilient deployment of the solutions.
  • Enhance the scalability, security and maintainability of enterprise systems.

 

Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Good knowledge of configuring, integrating and securing SaaS systems is required to be successful in this role.
  • A formal Architecture qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Previously architected a large system implementation such as a CRM or ERP.
  • You will also have broad experience across the technology stack including networking, identity management and integration technologies, enabling you to provide guidance to project managers, engineers and system administrators.
  • Expertise in networking architecture, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, the TCP/IP model and commonly used network protocols.
  • Expertise in identity management solutions and protocols, with specific skills in Active Directory, Entra ID, SAML and OAuth.
  • Experience in integrating Software as a Service (SaaS) products using Azure components and Power Automate.
  • Experience in enterprise system architecture having previously worked on Content Management Systems (CMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations.
  • Experience in planning the migration of systems from private cloud to SaaS and public cloud solutions.
  • Experience designing resilient systems for business-to-business transactions.
  • Experience in secure design, including but not limited to access control, authentication, encryption, rate limiting and anomaly detection.
  • Experience guiding development, testing and operationalisation of a solution that you have designed.
