About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager with a strong background in brokerage finance to oversee financial operations across a large group of broking businesses. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 -5 years of experience in a finance leadership role within the brokerage or financial services industry. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial planning, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all entities.
You will work closely with our Manila based finance shared services teams and Group Finance, ensuring alignment with company financial processes and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and review balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, and commission structures across a large group of broking businesses.
- Review and finalize financial statements, management reports, and forecasts for senior leadership.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/AASB.
- Develop and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis across multiple brokerage businesses.
- Conduct profitability analysis, cost control measures, and financial modelling to support business growth.
- Ensure compliance with ASIC/APRA across all brokerage entities.
- Monitor capital adequacy, liquidity requirements, and financial risks.
- Work closely with senior management of brokerage entities to align financial strategies and enhance overall business performance.
- Collaborate with brokers, compliance, and internal audit teams to ensure financial accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Prepare and present financial insights, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and board members.
- Drive efficiency in financial processes and reporting
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience: At least 3 years in a Finance Manager role within financial services, preferably in brokerage or a related industry.
- Professional Qualification: CPA, CA, or CFA preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and forecasting tools.
- Experience with brokerage accounting systems e.g. Winbeat, INSIGHT a plus
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Leadership & Business Partnering: Proven ability to work closely with senior management, provide strategic financial guidance, and manage offshore finance teams.
- Training & Mentoring: Strong ability to train and develop offshore teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
