As a Senior Motor Underwriter, you’ll combine deep technical expertise with strategic broker engagement to deliver tailored insurance solutions backed by cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite with impact – Assess risk, price effectively, and manage the full policy lifecycle (new business, renewals, endorsements).
- Lead and mentor – Act as a referral point and coach for junior underwriters, sharing knowledge and driving best practices.
- Build broker partnerships – Strengthen relationships with brokers and stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Champion compliance and performance – Embed underwriting discipline, meet service standards, and align with KPIs.
- Represent Dawes – Attend industry events and contribute to our reputation as a trusted, innovative insurer.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise in Motor Insurance – At least 5 years in insurance (or 2+ in a senior role), with deep knowledge of motor underwriting, pricing, and risk assessment.
- Strong commercial acumen – Confident interpreting data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions.
- Relationship builder – Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to engage brokers and stakeholders.
- Leadership mindset – Proactive, resilient, and collaborative, with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvement.
- Qualifications – Relevant industry certifications or equivalent experience.
