About the opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Operations to join Goldseal, a division of the Steadfast Group. This cross-functional leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing strategic projects, and supporting the General Manager in delivering Goldseal’s objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and analytical leader with a proven track record in operational excellence, risk management, and team leadership. They will possess deep knowledge of industry regulations, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across complex business environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all teams within the division
- Collaborate with other department heads to align operational goals with company objectives.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and proactively manage operational risks.
- Represent Goldseal and Steadfast at industry events, internal forums, and professional development days.
- Manage and develop team capabilities, including performance management, training, and workforce planning.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in senior operations or project management within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Experience contributing to strategic planning and executing business transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the business at senior levels.
- Familiarity with the insurance or financial services industry, particularly within a networked or ASX-listed environment, is highly desirable.
