About the opportunity
As a Compliance Consultant, you’ll play a key role in helping our partners navigate complex regulatory environments, maintain their AFS licences, and implement best practice compliance frameworks. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone with strong insurance broking experience and a passion for supporting business integrity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert compliance advice to brokers on legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Assist brokers in maintaining AFS licences and implementing Steadfast compliance guidance.
- Conduct compliance infrastructure audits, broker activity reviews, and authorised representative reviews.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and peer review reports from other consultants.
- Support brokers in implementing changes due to regulatory updates.
- Contribute to internal training, team development, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Insurance Broking (preferred).
- 5–10 years’ experience in insurance broking or underwriting agency operations (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of FSR, Corporations Act, ASIC Act, and general insurance legislation.
- Understanding of broking transactions and insurance product structures.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
