Your new role at Steadfast

We are looking for a Risk & Compliance Consultant who enjoys solving problems, creating clarity and supporting others to improve, and who brings curiosity, care and a collaborative mindset to their work.

You will work closely with brokers across our network and internal stakeholders to strengthen compliance practices, deliver meaningful review outcomes and uplift capability. You will bring your technical expertise and just as importantly, your ability to listen, collaborate and create an environment where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and raising challenges early that is how we live our Together values.

What your days may look like

You may start your morning connecting with brokers or internal teams, reviewing priorities and preparing for upcoming compliance reviews. You might be facilitating a structured broker review, walking through processes, documentation and controls to understand current practices.

By midday, you could be deep in analysis and stakeholder conversations, identifying compliance gaps and translating regulatory expectations into clear, practical insights.

In the afternoon, you might be partnering with brokers to develop remediation plans, providing guidance, tools and support to help strengthen their approach to risk and compliance.

No two days look the same, but every day you will be contributing to work that has real impact across our broker network.

The work you will lead and shape

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Deliver: Conduct structured risk and compliance reviews across the broker network
• Support: Partner with brokers to understand findings and implement practical remediation plans
• Challenge: Identify gaps, test practices and highlight improvement opportunities
• Create: Contribute to tools, templates and resources that support compliance uplift
• Collaborate: Build trusted relationships and work closely with brokers and stakeholders
• Improve: Use insights from reviews to inform continuous improvement across the network

You may also:

• Develop compliance frameworks, tools and guidance
• Maintain documentation, registers and review outputs
• Build capability and understanding across brokers
• Prepare reports, insights and recommendations for stakeholders

What You will Bring

• Experience in risk, compliance, advisory, audit or operational uplift within a regulated environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical actions
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail, with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
• Confidence working with brokers or stakeholders at varying levels of maturity
• Relevant qualifications in law, commerce, finance or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
