Job Description

Steadfast Group is the largest general insurance broker network and the largest underwriting agency group in Australasia with growing operations internationally. We were founded on the belief that a network of brokers would be stronger together, and this idea has been the backbone of our culture ever since. We believe that none of us is as good as all of us.

We are leaders of the general insurance broking and underwriting industry, and we lead from the front.

About the opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Project Atlas, a strategic transformation program focused on core system migrations across Miramar's commercial underwriting operations. This role will play a pivotal part in driving business change, managing vendor and stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the successful transition to new technology platforms and ways of working. Working closely with senior business leaders, technology teams, external vendors, and the Enterprise PMO, you will deliver complex programs that support future growth, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Miramar platform migration program, including planning, governance, requirements, implementation, change management, and transition to BAU.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting to ensure successful program outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to drive alignment and delivery success.
  • Develop and execute change management, communication, training, and adoption strategies to support business readiness and successful implementation.
  • Facilitate effective governance, decision-making, and continuous improvement across delivery teams while ensuring alignment with enterprise project management frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading large-scale, complex technology migration or transformation programs, ideally within insurance, financial services, fintech, or related industries.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering with C-suite executives, business leaders, and third-party technology vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, budgets, risks, dependencies, and cross-functional teams in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Hybrid, and traditional project delivery methodologies, with relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, or Agile qualifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar platforms.

Benefits

As a valued member of the Steadfast team, you'll enjoy a comprehensive array of benefits tailored to support your professional and personal well-being. Joining Steadfast means gaining access to:

  • Hybrid working arrangements to help you balance work and home life.
  • Career advancement opportunities and professional development through training programs, mentorship initiatives, and tuition reimbursement. We also partner with ANZIIF for accreditation and qualifications.

  • An expansive Health and Wellbeing program, which includes free annual health checks, free annual skin checks, Flu shots, holistic support and advice, and confidential counselling.
  • Working in a vibrant and collegiate culture where you are a person, and your contribution is valued.
