Life at Miramar Group

We don’t look like your typical underwriting agency, and that’s exactly the point.

At Miramar Group, we’re built for brokers, partners and commercial growth. Our culture is relaxed, approachable, and proudly made in Manly since 2005. But make no mistake - we are ambitious, responsive and deeply committed to helping brokers, partners and clients succeed.

We know the insurance industry can feel like paddling against the tide, with slow turnarounds, fragmented systems and too many barriers between opportunity and outcome. That’s why we’ve built a business made to make waves - to simplify engagement, strengthen relationships and back brokers with smart tools, clear answers and real human support.

Your new role at Steadfast

We are looking for a Strategic & Key Partnership Manager who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and creating growth opportunities, and who brings curiosity, care and a collaborative mindset to their work.

You will work closely with broker partners, referral networks, regional leaders and internal stakeholders across Miramar Commercial and the broader Steadfast Group to drive premium growth, strengthen partnerships and create new pathways to market. You will bring your commercial expertise and, just as importantly, your ability to listen, collaborate and create an environment where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and raising challenges early. That is how we live our together values.

What your days may look like

You may start your morning checking in with broker partners and internal stakeholders, reviewing pipeline activity and identifying new partnerships or growth opportunities. You might be engaging with key accounts or preparing for industry meetings, ensuring alignment on priorities and targets.

By midday, you could be deep in stakeholder conversations, partnership strategy and performance analysis, turning insights into actionable plans that drive referral growth, improve conversion rates and strengthen underwriting opportunities.

In the afternoon, you might be partnering with regional leaders and their teams, product specialists and Steadfast network stakeholders to unlock new opportunities, refine go-to-market strategies or identify new ways to support brokers and enhance the overall value proposition.

No two days look the same, but every day you will be contributing to work that drives sustainable growth, strengthens our partnerships and delivers meaningful impact across our network and the communities we support.

The work you will lead and shape

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Create: Build and refine partnership frameworks, referral strategies, broker engagement plans and market insights that strengthen how we grow and support our distribution network.
  • Collaborate: Bring together diverse perspectives across sales, distribution, broker partners, referral networks and Steadfast Group stakeholders to drive aligned outcomes.
  • Challenge: Ask thoughtful questions around performance, pipeline opportunities and market approach, helping shape smarter decisions and stronger commercial outcomes.
  • Deliver: Own key partnership relationships and growth initiatives, driving referral pipelines, premium growth and measurable outcomes.
  • Support: Provide brokers and partners with clarity, responsiveness and practical commercial support, helping them identify the right opportunities and navigate solutions with confidence.

You may also:

  • Develop: partnership strategies, distribution models and referral processes that expand market reach and drive sustainable growth.
  • Maintain: partnership agreements, performance tracking and pipeline visibility to ensure consistent and effective relationship management.
  • Build: strong, long-term relationships with brokers, networks and referral partners while deepening market insights and capability.
  • Lead: growth initiatives, partnership performance analysis and continuous improvements across distribution and referral channels.
  • Prepare: reporting, insights and recommendations for senior leadership on partnership performance, opportunities and emerging market trends.

What You will Bring

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, sales, distribution, partnerships, broker relationship management or an insurance-adjacent industry, with confidence building trusted commercial relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Strength in stakeholder engagement, commercial thinking, communication and negotiation, with the ability to influence and build credibility.
  • Ability to translate market complexity into clear, practical insights that support broker conversations, improve referral performance and convert opportunity into sustainable growth.
  • A collaborative mindset with a track record of building trusted relationships across internal teams, brokers and external partners.
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in insurance, business, or a related discipline, with ANZIIF or similar highly regarded.

If you are not sure you meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply, we value potential and diverse experiences.
