About the opportunity

We are seeking a Product Development Assistant to join our team. They will be tasked with supporting and maintaining the product development framework for the Steadfast Underwriting Agencies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with key stakeholders internally (Product and Underwriting Managers and team members, IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Audit, Operations and Marketing) in the provision of product development documents and services. 
  • Active involvement in Product Development process.
  • Provide support to the Product Development Manager and Deputy General Counsel Agencies and assist in producing insurance policies and associated collateral.
  • Conduct preliminary review of Product Development documents and services including new and current Policy Wordings, Product Disclosure Statements, Notices of Change, Supplementary Product Disclosure Statements, Proposal Forms, Claim Forms, Declaration Forms, Endorsements, Derogation Notices, Summary of Changes, Key Facts Sheets, Financial Services Guides, Target Market Determinations, etc. within agreed timeframes and to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct preliminary review of system generated documents (quotes, new business and renewal schedules, certificate of currency, endorsement schedules, cancellation and lapse schedules, etc.), websites and portals within agreed timeframes and compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct preliminary review of marketing material (brochures, flyers, blogs, adverts, banners, LinkedIn articles, broker communication emails, etc.), websites and portals of agencies within agreed timeframes and compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain various internal product libraries, detailed product registers and spread sheets for project tracking.
  • Maintain internal document folders and mandatory approvals for auditing purposes.
  • Distribute final documents and communicate with internal stakeholders, teams within the organisation and third parties.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an ability to communicate to people within and outside the organisation in a range of positions
  • Excellent multitasking abilities, time and organisation skills
  • Superior eye for detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat DC
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and escalations
